Why it works

Most moisturisers use plain water as their base. Round Lab replaces much of that with a high concentration of Inje birch tree sap — a plant liquid that contains amino acids, minerals, antioxidants and vitamins. It has a light, fast-absorbing feel and a naturally cooling sensation on application, which helps it settle reactive or heat-flushed skin.

Three ingredients hold and support the moisture:

• Vita hyaluronic acid, a humectant that draws water in for a plump, hydrated look.
• Panthenol (pro-vitamin B5), which helps support the barrier and calm the look of redness.
• Jojoba esters, which lightly seal the surface so hydration doesn't evaporate as quickly.

There are also small moisture capsules suspended in the gel that melt on contact to release their nutrients. Results vary by person and skin type.

How to use it

As the final step of your morning or evening routine, after toner and any serums, smooth a moderate amount evenly over the face and gently pat to help it absorb. In the morning, follow with SPF.
